1. What We Collect

When you use Oceanalytic, we collect:

  • Account data — your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Analytics data — pageviews, events, and session data from websites where our tracking script is installed. This data is associated with your project, not individual end-users.
  • Usage data — how you interact with the Oceanalytic dashboard (e.g. features used, pages visited).

2. No Cookies, No Fingerprinting

Our tracking script (tracker.js) does not use cookies. We use a lightweight visitor ID stored in localStorage to distinguish unique visitors. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no personal data is collected from your website visitors.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the Oceanalytic service.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. project invitations, billing receipts).
  • To enforce usage limits and billing.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Storage

Data is stored in MongoDB Atlas hosted on cloud infrastructure. We retain analytics data for the duration defined by your plan. Account data is retained until you delete your account.
